Soul Searching

Soul Searching is my most successful minicomic to date. It features a vat booklet with a see-through pouch cover, which holds three human body parts—All of which are accordion books. It’s designed to be read in whatever order the reader chooses, all telling the story of a scientist who is told he is soulless by those around him, and he takes it upon himself to vivisect himself in order to find the soul within him. It’s a tale of hubris blooming out of desperation, all through the lens of surgical horror. Each copy is hand-made and individually numbered. This was the runner-up in the Horror category of the 2022 Minicomics Awards put on by Salt and Honey, and one copy has also been acquired by the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum. An overview of what these comics look like can be seen below, and you can purchase your own copy from my store!
