This was a project for my Character & Environment Design class. The idea was to take a classic story, and redesign it with a modern “twist”. I chose to redesign Lord of the Rings for a cyberpunk setting, with a world controlled by the evil CEO Ron Saur, and Gandy the hacker arranging a team to destroy his prototype of spyware technology which he kept on a ring-like software storage device. Along the way, they would encounter G0l-M, a human trapped by obsession deep inside a junk disposal facility, who slowly replaced all recognizable human parts with robotic ones.
